We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a night shift position. This role is ideal for candidates with previous emergency department experience looking to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Position Details

• Contract Length: 12 Weeks
• Shift: Night Shift (3x12) from 19:00 to 07:30
• Work Schedule: Includes every other weekend and holidays as scheduled

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting required
• First-time travelers accepted with strong Emergency Department experience
• Current RN license in the state of practice
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, CPI

Clinical Responsibilities

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will manage a diverse patient population, including neonates to geriatrics, in a high-volume, fast-paced, non-trauma ER. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing patient-centered care in a timely manner
• Managing patient assessments, triage, and medications
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Supporting the 10-bed ED hold/Observation unit within the ER department, with a staffing ratio of 1:5, up to 6 with lower acuity
• Utilizing EPIC for electronic medical records

Work Environment

The Emergency Room features 66 rooms/beds with an average census of around 200 patients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a busy environment and be adaptable to changing circumstances and patient needs.
