Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to manage complex patient care effectively.

Unit Information

Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
Number of Beds: 64 beds, including 15 designated Neuro beds
Common Diagnoses: Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory conditions such as COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Myocardial Infarction, CV stepdown, and postoperative care
Specialty Equipment: Temporary pacemakers, Chest tubes, Arterial lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo
Ventilator Management: Management of chronic vents that are unable to wean, with respiratory therapy support
Patient Demographics: Adults, ages 18 and older

Shift Information

Shift: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)
Floating: Required to float to other units as needed
Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU
Up-to-date resume documenting travel experience
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
NURSYS report verifying all active RN licenses, including New York
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience with EPIC
