Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Telemetry

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our 3W Cardiac Telemetry unit. This role focuses on providing exceptional care to telemetry patients with cardiac diagnoses, stroke/TIA, and stable cardiac catheterization patients.

Key Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care for adults with telemetric cardiac conditions.
Monitor patients remotely using the Hicuity System.
Administer specialty medications, including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Protonix, and Lasix.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Utilize Zebra portable phones, Alaris IV pumps, and Coviden Feeding Pumps for patient care.

Shift Information

Schedule: 3, 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
Every other weekend required
Floating to lower acuity areas as needed
Holiday shifts as scheduled

Qualifications

Current RN license in the state of practice
ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required
Experience in telemetry or cardiac care preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Unit Details

Average Daily Census: 25 patients
Room Capacity: 22 beds out of 30 available
Patient Care Focus: Adults with primary or secondary cardiac conditions
