We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a Night shift position. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess critical thinking skills and the ability to handle a diverse patient population across various age ranges and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to patients presenting with a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, trauma, and respiratory illnesses.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment such as the Belmont in trauma situations, Giraffe warmers for neonates, rapid infusers, and Lucas devices during cardiac arrests.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the EPIC charting system.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to established protocols in emergency situations to provide timely interventions.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training.
• Support the unit with floating responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a current RN license in the state of practice.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, CPI, and TNCC is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience is mandatory; travel experience is preferred, but candidates with 5 or more years of experience may be considered for first-time travel positions.
• Experience with the EPIC charting system is essential.
• Ability to manage a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4, potentially up to 5 patients with lower acuity.

Work Schedule

• Three 12-hour shifts per week, from 19:30 to 08:00.
• Mandatory weekend coverage every other weekend.
• Holiday shifts as scheduled.
