Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, critical care environment while adhering to established protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while ensuring patient safety.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
• Participate in departmental and hospital-wide initiatives for quality improvement.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience required; first-time travelers accepted with strong critical care skills.

Work Schedule

• Night shifts (3x12 hours) from 19:00 to 07:30.
• Every other weekend and holidays are required as scheduled.
• Floating to lower acuity settings and sister facilities may be required as needed.

Unit Information

• Average Daily Census: 8 patients.
• ICU Room/Beds: 10.
• Patient to Nurse Ratio: 1:2, up to 3 with low acuity (rare).
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue.
