Unit Description
Join a dynamic 65-bed Emergency Department featuring a pod-based design, including a dedicated pediatric pod and a separate Acute Mental Health area.
Experience and Skill Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience.
- General Emergency Department nursing skills, including but not limited to:
- Patient assessment and documentation
- IV insertion and phlebotomy
- EKG and cardiac monitoring
- Point of care testing and splinting
- Critical thinking and patient education
Patient Care Details
- Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Patient Population: All age groups
- Daily Census: Approximately 230 visits
Technology and Systems
Utilize EPIC – ASAP as the electronic medical record (EMR) charting system.
Additional Responsibilities
Floating may be required to the Emergency Department Observation wing (16 beds) and the Acute Mental Health Unit (ED Psych OBS). Rotating shifts may be required upon request, predominantly for day shifts. Night positions do not rotate.
Certifications Required
- AHA Certified Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certifications are strongly preferred.
