Job Summary

The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for assisting in various procedures within the cardiac catheterization laboratory. This role requires proficiency in scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating cases, along with knowledge of interventional radiology (IR) and cardiac procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub, monitor, and circulate various cases in the cardiac cath lab.
• Provide support in coronary procedures, IR procedures, and vascular procedures.
• Assist in patient preparations and ensure a safe environment during procedures.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR), specifically Cerner and Merge, for documentation and patient management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cath lab or related field.
• Knowledge of scrub techniques and general x-ray practices.
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for 10-hour shifts, Monday to Thursday, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional on-call responsibilities will be required during evenings and weekends, with response time expectations of 30 minutes.

Dress Code

Light blue scrubs will be provided and are to be worn during all shifts.

Orientation and Training

New employees will participate in an orientation program, with foundational training scheduled within the first week of employment.

Additional Notes

Occasional responsibilities may include supporting one-on-one patient sitters as needed.
