COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant)

Job Description

A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed for a 13-week assignment with a guarantee of 36 hours per week. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in various settings.

Holiday coverage is not required for this position.

Responsibilities

The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include:

Implementing treatment plans designed to improve patients' daily living skills.
Monitoring patient progress and reporting outcomes to the occupational therapist.
Educating patients and families about occupational therapy processes and goals.
Maintaining accurate patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid COTA certification.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach are essential.
Ability to work effectively with patients of various ages and backgrounds.
