Job Description

The X-Ray/Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing a wide variety of technical procedures involving independent judgment and skill. This role requires the ability to facilitate diagnoses effectively while adhering to departmental and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical procedures while applying appropriate skills to aid in diagnoses.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure proper care in accordance with departmental protocols.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, and PACS applications as needed.
• Participate in mandatory education sessions, including those focused on infection control and safety protocols.
• Maintain departmental competencies as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of X-Ray experience, with at least 1 year of current practice.
• At least 2 years of current Mammography experience is required.
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) certifications are mandatory.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings when required.
• Must have personal transportation for job-related travel.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• A Massachusetts Radiology license or application is necessary.

Additional Requirements

Compliance with scheduling requests is essential and must be provided upfront, as further requests may not be accommodated once the interview process has begun. Travelers may not take all holidays off and must commit to working during significant holiday periods.
