Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. This position requires a strong background in both adult and pediatric emergency care and involves 12-hour shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Assess and document patient conditions to inform medical staff and support a collaborative care environment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
- Work effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record system.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three (3) years.
- Proficiency in using the Epic electronic health record system is required.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or a Compact RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) are required.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is also required.
- Candidates must pass a Telemetry test prior to starting in the role.
Work Schedule
The position requires working 12-hour shifts, available in the following timeframes:
- 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM
- 3:00 PM - 3:30 AM
Additional Information
