Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities focusing on imaging and diagnostic procedures across a diverse patient population, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Responsibilities

Perform HIDA scans, bone scans, lymphoscintigraphy, gastric emptying studies, brain death evaluations, myocardial perfusion SPECT, I-123 scans/uptakes, I-131 whole body scans, and I-131 ablations.
Conduct renal scans with or without Lasix and parathyroid studies.
Utilize relevant unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, and PACS.

Schedule and Requirements

Workdays: Monday – Friday.
Shifts: Day shift from 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM.
Maximum requested time off (RTO): 7 days.
Weekend shifts are not required, except for possible call shifts.
Call requirements: Monday - Friday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Saturday - Sunday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with 1-2 days per week and every fourth weekend.
If assigned, candidates must be available to float to alternate locations for STAT inpatient needs.

Holidays

Travelers are expected to work one major holiday during their assignment period. If two major holidays fall within the period, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall within the period, the traveler must work two of the holidays. Major holidays include:

Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving/Black Friday
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Certifications required: NMTCB and/or ARRT (NM).

Compliance

Full compliance is required to start on time. Any delays in compliance can extend the start date by up to 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Orientation

The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours will be determined by the length of the assignment.
