Description

Intermediate Care Registered Nurse (IMC RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for an Intermediate Care Unit. This position requires a committed individual who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment and can provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

Provide care for patients in the Intermediate Care Unit.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and EKG rhythms.
Float to Telemetry and/or Medical-Surgical units as needed, maintaining a professional bedside manner.
Ensure that care is in compliance with established standards and protocols.
Participate in patient and family education, promoting health and wellness.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive care.

Qualifications

Current Active Registered Nurse License.
ACLS and BLS certifications required.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in PCU/IMC/Stepdown settings.
Must have completed at least 1 travel nursing assignment.
Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with an overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
Availability to work every other weekend, with flexibility based on operational needs.

Working Conditions

This position requires working night shifts (3x12-hour) and may involve floating to different units based on patient care needs.

Additional Information

Flu vaccination is mandatory for this position.
IMC nurse to patient ratio is 1:4.
Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units typically maintain a 1:5/1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
