Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced cardiac telemetry unit. This role requires critical thinking and strong clinical skills to provide exceptional care to cardiac patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients with various cardiac conditions, including congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization.
• Administer and manage cardiac drips and medications, including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, and Milrinone.
• Perform sheath pulls and use devices such as TR Bands and Femstop.
• Float to other units as needed, depending on patient care requirements.
• Participate in the Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team as necessary during catastrophic events or disasters.

Qualifications

• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiac Telemetry, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Intermediate Care (IMC), or Stepdown nursing.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5-6.
• Pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty.

Shift Details

Schedule consists of 3x12 hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, with weekend shifts required (5-6 shifts over a 6-week scheduling period).

This unit specializes in cardiac telemetry, focusing on monitoring patients with cardiac issues and providing comprehensive care based on telemetry readings.

• Unit orientation duration: 24 hours.
• Scrubs required: Navy.
