We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the SSSU/PACU department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pre-operative and post-anesthesia care, as well as experience in the outpatient services area. This is a full-time position with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts, including a shared on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Pre-operative and Post-anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Float to various outpatient services, including Day Surgery and Endoscopy Lab, as necessary.
• Conduct nursing assessments and offer peri-operative education and care to patients.
• Recognize and respond to post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.
• Assist with conscious sedation for special procedures as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in SSSU/PACU, Pre, and Post nursing roles.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must have certifications including ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and PALS.
