Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Washington State or Compact RN Licensure.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC are required.
• Adhere to relevant nursing policies and unit standards.
• Comply with the Washington Nurse Practice Act and maintain current knowledge of legal aspects of nursing practice.

Required Skills

• Experience with Craniotomy and Retina procedures.
• Availability to take call as needed.
• May be required to float as a sitter and in rotation.

Job Functions

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care with compassion, utilizing the nursing process and unit standards.
• Develop, implement, and assess individualized patient care plans continuously.
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures/treatments as needed.
• Evaluate discharge plans for suitability, educational needs, and necessary adjustments.
• Document care provided, including assessments, plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
• Collect necessary patient information to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Conduct comprehensive ongoing assessments of patient status and respond appropriately.
• Take appropriate nursing actions to achieve care goals addressing physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs.
• Provide timely health information to patients, families, and significant others, along with written educational materials.
• Maintain current knowledge of workflows, processes, and evidence-based practices.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Participate in performance evaluation and improvement processes with the Director/Clinical Manager.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with hospital and unit policies.
