Description
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in MRI technology, particularly with Philips MRI scanners, and have experience in a Level 1 trauma environment. The role requires a detail-oriented team player who is committed to providing high-quality patient care.
Position Information

- Shift Options:
- Overnight shift: 1845-0715 Thursday/Friday/Saturday
- Weekend shift: 630-1900 Saturday and Sunday, plus one day during the week
- Weekend shift: 630-1900 Saturday and Sunday, plus 7-1930 on Friday
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years with demonstrated Philips MR experience for 1.5T scanners; Level 1 trauma center experience preferred.
- Float Requirements: Candidates may rotate between multiple locations, if not in an overnight position.
Certification Requirements
- ARRT (MR) certification required
- AMRIT certification preferred
- Maine State licensing for MRI is not required
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 650+
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Equipment: Philips MR 1.5T and 3T systems (Ingenia or Ambition)
- EMR: Epic
Qualifications
- Must Have Skills/Experience:
- Philips MR experience is a must
- Experience with trauma cases, anesthesia, ICU patients
- Proficient in neuro, spine, brain, body (abdomen, pelvis), and MSK imaging
- No experience in breast, cardiac, or prostate imaging required
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Personality Fit:
- Self-initiated, team-oriented with excellent communication skills
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to running protocols as established
- Focus on quality, patient-centered care
Dress Code
Scrubs must be of any color other than those issued by the hospital.
