Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Medical Telemetry to join our team on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will be proficient in patient care in both telemetry and intermediate care settings.
Position Information
- Role: RN
- Specialty: Medical Telemetry, Intermediate Care
- Shift: Day and Night
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: 36 (every other weekend)
- Call Requirements: None
- Years of Experience: Minimum 1-2 years
- Float Requirements: Possible rotation to other IMC level care units and med/surg units as needed
Education & Certifications Required
- Required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Education Modules: Mandatory onboarding education specific to the unit
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 43
- Patient Ratios:
- Day Shift Med/Surg: 1:4-5
- Night Shift Med/Surg: 1:5-6
- Day and Night IMC: 3:1
- Equipment: Ventilators, BiPaP, CPAP, IV pumps, PCA pumps, and specialty beds
- EMR: Epic
Hiring Profile
- Must Have Skills/Experience:
- Experience with ventilators
- Proficient in managing tracheostomies
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Preferred Skillset/Experience: Experience in respiratory, medical telemetry, surgical care, and acute medical conditions
- Personality Fit: Strong team player, adaptable, effective communicator, and committed to patient-centered care

- Unacceptable Attire: Unprofessional clothing, shirts with logos other than hospital-related
