Job Summary
An experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a background in Long Term Care (LTC) is sought for a 13-week assignment. The position involves delivering essential nursing care to patients in a long-term care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and provide treatments as directed.
- Administer medications and ensure proper documentation.
- Communicate pertinent clinical information to the medical team, including MDs and NPs.
- Assist with admitting and discharging patients.
- Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Deliver specialized care including gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, and nebulized treatments.
- Manage wound vac care and CPAP therapy as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient care.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Long Term Care setting.
- Current general certifications such as BLS/BCLS.
- Proof of flu vaccination or an approved medical/religious exception must be provided before the start date.
- Willingness to cover holidays as required.
Work Schedule
Variable shifts will be based on patient census and facility needs.
