Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care for patients with complex neurological conditions. This role involves working with a diverse patient population and managing critical situations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Care for Neurocritical Care patients including those with ischemic or hemorrhagic strokes, post-thrombectomies, traumatic brain injuries, status epilepticus, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological diagnoses requiring intensive care.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as intracranial pressure monitors and external ventricular drains.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in patient and family education to promote understanding of conditions and treatment plans.

Shift Information

• Shift Options: 3x12 or 4x12 based on traveler preference
• Night Shift: 18:45 - 07:15
• Block scheduling may be accommodated

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Neuro ICU experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • AL or Compact Nursing License required
• Ability to float to the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) as needed
• Every other weekend work required
