Cath Lab Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist in various cardiac procedures within the Cardiac Cath Lab setting, demonstrating a high level of expertise and professionalism.

Shift Information

  • Shift Length: 10 hours
  • Varying shifts: 0530-1600, 0630-1700, and 0730-1800
  • On-call requirement: 1 call per week and 1 weekend call every 3-4 weeks with a 30-minute response time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring various procedures, including peripheral/vascular cases, right and left heart catheterizations, and electrophysiology cases.
  • Utilize advanced equipment such as XIM (Witt division for Philips charting), EPIC, Pyxis, Xcelera, and Siemens and Philips fluoroscopy systems.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting.
  • Current certifications required: ACLS (American Heart Association) and BLS (American Heart Association).
  • Preferred certifications: RCIS or RCES.

Training and Orientation

Training will focus on monitoring within the XIM system, as well as effective scrubbing and circulating in the Cath Lab.

Additional Information

  • No floating to other units or departments is required.
  • The unit consists of 8 fluoroscopy rooms and 1 minimally invasive room without fluoroscopy.
