Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Nurse to join our team. This crucial role involves providing high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience and the capability to handle a variety of situations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions in a timely manner.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the attending physician.
- Document patient care activities in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Assist in the organization of the emergency department workflow to maximize efficiency.
Work Schedule
- Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week, with three 12-hour shifts.
- Flexible scheduling options available, including block scheduling.
- Requests for time off (RTO) will be considered during the interview process.
Qualifications
- Two years of experience in an Emergency Department or a similar high-acuity environment is required.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS are mandatory.
- CEN certification is preferred, but not required.
- Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs as necessary.
