We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical Neuro Unit. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, teamwork, and professional excellence.

Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week
• Longer contracts available through February 27, 2027
• Float required as needed
• Every other weekend required
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO)
• Holiday work is mandatory
• Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Neuro Unit.
• Utilize nursing processes and evidence-based practices to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Document patient care and communication effectively using EPIC and SBAR.
• Administer medications and treatments using the Pyxis system.
• Participate in Storm Team or Hurricane Team response as required during catastrophic events or disasters.

Required Skills and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Experience in neuro care is essential.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Orientation and Training

• 24 hours of unit orientation will be provided.

Attire

• Scrubs required: Navy Blue

Additional Information

• EKG testing must be passed prior to the start date for this specialty.
• Locals are accepted at the local rate.
