Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in bariatric, orthopedic, and general surgery nursing. This role involves working in a fast-paced operating room environment, providing high-quality care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care in the operating room.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status throughout surgical procedures.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Utilize the Pyxis medication system for effective medication administration.
• Participate in surgical procedures and assist with surgical instruments and sterile techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized surgical environment.

Schedule

• Shift: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (06:45 AM - 05:15 PM)
• Call requirement: 4-5 call days per month, which may include weekends and holidays.
• Weekday on-call from 5 PM to 7 AM and 24-hour on-call during weekends and holidays.
• Number of weekend shifts per contract varies based on departmental needs.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least 2 years of nursing experience in the operating room.
• Current South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with the EPIC electronic health record system.
