Description

X-ray Technologist

Position Overview

The X-ray Technologist will be responsible for performing X-ray imaging in a variety of settings, including the emergency room, intensive care unit, and operating room. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in both bedside and portable X-ray, trauma imaging, C-arm procedures, and fluoroscopic studies, including barium swallow and esophagram. This role requires the ability to operate independently and adapt to specific equipment training as needed.

Work Schedule

This position is scheduled for four 10-hour shifts from 9 AM to 7:30 PM, specifically on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. There are no weekend or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred; 1 year of experience accepted if the candidate has worked full-time at a Level 1 trauma center and Children’s Hospital.
  • Demonstrated experience in operating room and fluoroscopic studies.
  • Current and active SCRQSA X-ray license.
  • Required certifications: ARRT (R), BLS.

Skills and Expertise

  • Skilled in acute care imaging, including ER, ICU, NICU, PICU, and OR settings.
  • Proficient in performing all aspects of X-ray independently.
  • Experience with Epic electronic medical record system required.
  • Ability to float to other units based on patient census and only to units for which the technologist is qualified and trained.
