Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic clinical environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in oncology, delivering high-quality infusion therapy to patients while ensuring adherence to safety standards and protocols.

Shift Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 5 days per week (8-hour shifts from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM)
• Orientation: Every other Thursday for Registered Nurses

Key Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and other infusion treatments to oncology patients, ensuring proper dose calculation and administration techniques.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after infusion treatments, assessing for any adverse reactions or complications.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records using Cerner documentation systems.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, expected side effects, and support resources.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols while administering external beam therapy and other oncology treatments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience required.
• Current nursing license, clean record with no prior suspensions (probations considered on a case-by-case basis).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Oncology Nursing Certification (ONC) preferred.
• Experience with CBCT, kV/mV imaging, and IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy) is essential.
• Preferred experience in infusion center settings, managing both inpatient and outpatient oncology patients.

Additional Information

• Patient caseload: Approximately 70 patients daily.
• Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:4.
• Flu vaccination is mandatory unless a medical exemption is provided.
• No local candidates will be accepted; candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility.
