Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cardiac Step-Down Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in the cardiac step-down unit, with a commitment to excellence in clinical practice.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Holidays: As needed
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends

Patient Care Ratios

Staff to patient ratio is approximately 1:5.

Floating Requirements

The Registered Nurse may be required to float between like units within multiple locations to meet staffing needs. Flexibility in adjusting to different patient care ratios based on unit needs is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. Candidates with travel experience are preferred.
• License: Valid South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required. Candidates with pending licenses will not be considered.
• Certifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications in BLS and ACLS are required.
• Skills: Proficient in telemetry and IV starts.

Miscellaneous Information

• Local nurses within a 60-mile radius may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission.
• Guaranteed Hours: The facility reserves the right to call off 1 shift per every 2 weeks as necessary.

Charting: Epic system is used for electronic health records.

Parker Information: There is no fee for parking. Parking passes will be distributed at badge pickup.

Emergency Preparedness

Please note that during hurricane season, all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams. Candidates who have concerns about these commitments should consider scheduling accordingly, as hurricane season runs from June through November, with heightened activity expected in August and September.
