Job Summary

The MRI Technician is responsible for performing MRI scans on patients according to physician orders and established protocols. This role requires a strong understanding of MRI technology, patient care, and adherence to safety protocols. The technician will assist in identifying abnormalities, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a smooth workflow in the MRI department.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans as directed by physicians while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring proper equipment settings.
• Monitor patients during scans and provide clear instructions to ensure high-quality images.
• Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with medical staff to interpret MRI results and assist in diagnosis.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures performed and patient information.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety management standards.

Qualifications

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Valid MRI Technician license or certification as required by regulations.
• Strong knowledge of MRI technology, protocols, and patient care practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability to work on Fridays from 6 am to 6:30 pm, Saturdays from 11 am to 11:30 pm, and Sundays from 11 am to 11:30 pm.
