Job Description
The Obstetrics (OB) Nurse Manager is a registered nurse with demonstrated expertise in nursing, responsible for overseeing patient care, nursing staff, and OB operations. This role requires collaboration with the leadership team to enhance clinical operations, promote staff development, effectively manage resources, and implement quality improvement initiatives in the OB department.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and patient care in the OB department.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure efficient clinical operations.
- Facilitate staff development and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Manage resources effectively to support departmental goals.
- Implement quality improvement measures in OB practices.
- Take bedside shifts as needed to ensure patient care standards are met.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in OB nursing.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within the last 2 years.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- Current RN License in the state of Colorado or a compact state.
- General Certifications: BLS/BCLS, PALS, NRP, ACLS.
