Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Position Overview
This Registered Nurse (RN) position is for the 4 West Comprehensive Medical Unit, with occasional responsibilities in various Medical-Surgical units, including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation. The role requires commitment to a 36-hour workweek, with every other weekend scheduled. There is no on-call requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Comprehensive Medical Unit.
- Float between various Med-Surg units as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient conditions and assess needs for additional interventions.
- Document patient care activities using Epic electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Prepare for and participate in competency assessments related to telemetry.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of current or recent experience in Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing.
- Proficient in reading telemetry; competency testing will be conducted upon hire.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system is mandatory; refresher courses are not available.
Additional Requirements
Holiday coverage is required as part of the role.
The only viable start date for this position is November 16, 2026.
