Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Notes

12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM with a 36-hour guarantee. Requires working every 3rd weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in alignment with the Health System’s mission, vision, and values. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care utilizing age-specific criteria and nursing processes.
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Educating patients and their families, while utilizing available resources to prepare for discharge.
  • Supervising and directing non-RN staff, including LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries.
  • Demonstrating flexibility in response to schedule changes as required by the department.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in Long-Term Care (LTC) and/or Rehabilitation settings.
  • Superior customer service skills, demonstrating patience and tact with patients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in stressful situations, utilizing independent judgment and healthcare principles.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Willingness to float between units within skill level as necessary.

Certification Requirements

  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

State License Requirements

  • Active Ohio or Compact Registered Nurse License is required.
