Job Description

The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) provides holistic care to patients and their families in the Emergency Room. The emphasis is on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions in alignment with established standards and competencies relevant to the emergency care specialty. The RN's scope of practice encompasses the care of neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults throughout their life cycles.

The RN is responsible for executing the Standards of Nursing Practice, which include:

• Assessment
• Nursing diagnosis
• Outcome identification
• Planning
• Implementation
• Evaluation

The RN develops and revises patient care plans, coordinates care across disciplines, and delegates activities to other care providers as appropriate. Active participation in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices is expected. The RN also demonstrates leadership qualities by implementing and refining practice standards to enhance the environment of care, ultimately promoting exceptional patient experiences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Emergency Room travel experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• PALS and TNCC certification
• Experience with all patient populations
• Trauma Level IV experience
• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records system

Additional Information

This position has a 36-hour guarantee, with weekend requirements of every other weekend. There is no on-call requirement.
