Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Shift Information

Three 12-hour night shifts with varying schedules.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective, and high-quality patient-centric care in compliance with state standards. The nurse will collaborate with all members of the healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and supporting the organization's mission, vision, and values is essential.

Qualifications

Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Maine or pending authorization to practice by endorsement.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within six months of hire.
A minimum of two years of experience is preferred.
Strong assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills are necessary.
Ability to function independently and respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations.

Additional Information

Holiday coverage is required.
