Occupational Therapist

Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will provide assessment, planning, and implementation of therapy programs for patients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing the quality of life through therapeutic interventions and working collaboratively with healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine patients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to promote functional independence.
  • Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment goals and strategies for at-home exercises.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Adhere to professional standards of practice and ensure compliance with all regulations.

Qualifications

  • Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist within the state.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in occupational therapy is required.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required upon hire.
  • Ability to float to various units, departments, or patient care areas based on operational needs.

Work Schedule

This position primarily operates during day shifts. Flexibility for holiday coverage may be required.

Travel Requirements

The role may involve traveling between different locations based on staffing needs.
