Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our outpatient team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patients.
• Conduct assessments, create and implement treatment plans, and document patient progress.
• Utilize techniques such as manual therapy, dry needling, and hand therapy (preferred).
• Educate patients and families on safety, exercise programs, medications, and injury prevention.
• Demonstrate proficiency with adaptive devices, assistive devices, and vital sign assessments.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and timely, including evaluations, plans of care, and discharge summaries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in outpatient physical therapy.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience with geriatric, neurologic, and orthopedic patient populations is essential.
• Experience in community hospital settings is preferred.
• Proficient in the use of crutches, gait belts, lower-extremity prosthetics, shoulder slings, and traction tables.
• Familiarity with charting systems including Net Health and PowerChart/Cerner.
• Maryland state or compact PT license required.

Work Schedule

• Shift: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Position requires no on-call responsibilities.
• Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests are permitted per contract.
