Position Overview

This position is for a Physical Therapist primarily providing outpatient care with opportunities for inpatient cross-training. The role is full-time and requires a focus on patient assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Shift Information

• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Weekend Hours: None
• Call Requirements: None

Key Responsibilities

• Administer outpatient physical therapy treatments.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on comprehensive assessments.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and safety practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in Maine or pending.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience with outpatient and home exercise programs.
• Knowledge in lifting and transfer techniques, safety and injury prevention.
• Familiarity with billing practices, orthopedics, assessments, and discharge planning.
• Strong time management and patient evaluation skills.

Work Environment

The role will involve a patient load of approximately 10 individuals daily in a supportive and dynamic environment. The facility utilizes Epic as their electronic health record (EHR) system.
