Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) who is knowledgeable in acute care and telemetry, to join our dynamic team. This position involves caring for a diverse patient population, including occasional pediatric and adolescent patients.

Unit Information

The unit comprises a 70-bed setting within a rural facility, where RNs are expected to collaborate with LPNs during night shifts. The RN may be floated to other units, including ICU, to assist with patient care needs as required. A House Supervisor is available around the clock for support.

Shift Information

• Shift Type: Night
• Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hours
• Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Work: Weekdays plus every other weekend

Patient Ratios

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5 on the unit.

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care and telemetry
• Certs Required: BCLS, ACLS
• Certs Preferred: PALS
• Telemetry skills are required; experience in pediatrics and charge experience are preferred.

Additional Information

Travel experience is not required. A blocked schedule must be requested upfront and will be discussed during the interview process. Scrubs are not provided; the required color is burgundy. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner.
