Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on neurological patients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and the ability to work collaboratively within the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Neuro ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust patient care plans.
• Effectively communicate with patients and their families regarding care and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
• Participate in staff education and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg/Telemetry experience is required.
• Must be willing to float to other ICUs, Med/Surg/Telemetry, and Progressive Care units as needed.
• Availability for three weekend shifts per 4-week schedule and holiday shifts is mandatory.
• Epic experience within the last 18 months is required.
• Must have a valid Tennessee or compact RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.

Work Schedule

This position requires night shifts, specifically three 12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. Flexibility in scheduling is essential to meet the needs of the unit.
