Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a challenging and rewarding position. The role involves providing high-quality care to patients in a 6-bed Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. This position requires expertise in managing critical cardiovascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery and treatment.
• Monitor and assess patients with diagnoses such as cardiovascular surgery, cardiogenic shock, and abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery processes.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and patient management.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit.
• Experience with fresh heart transplants is required.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Prior travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts as required.
• Adhere to a 75-mile radius rule for travel assignments; locals within 75 miles may be considered at a reduced rate.
