Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cardiothoracic Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. This position entails circulating complex cardiac and thoracic surgical cases, including but not limited to adult heart and lung transplants, type A dissections, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve surgeries, and transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVRs).
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate complex cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures.
- Assist in a variety of surgical cases including CABG, TAVR, LVAD, Impella, valves, and heart & lung transplants.
- Provide exceptional patient care and support preoperative and postoperative processes.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure the highest standard of care.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiothoracic nursing is required.
- Ability to circulate complex cardiac and thoracic cases.
- SC or Multi-state RN license is mandatory at the start of the contract.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) are required.
- Radiation badge will be provided by the agency.
Work Schedule
- Work will consist of 3 shifts of 12 hours per week, from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
- On-call rotation is required, averaging 5-8 calls monthly including weekends, with possible holiday call.
Additional Information
Travelers should be aware of the hurricane season, running from June through November. During this time, all personnel may be assigned to emergency response teams. It is advised to avoid confirming new assignments during peak hurricane activity months.
