Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient rehabilitation team. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of pediatric patients, providing essential therapy to help them achieve their developmental goals.
Job Details
- Unit: Outpatient OT
- Patient Load: 8-9 patients treated per day based on shift length
- Shift Length: 8 or 10-hour shifts available
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Orientation: 1 week of orientation/shadowing to learn scheduling pathways, Epic documentation, and patient demographics
Responsibilities
- Provide pediatric therapy to patients with various conditions in an outpatient setting.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to address specific needs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment goals and progress.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of pediatric therapy experience in an outpatient setting.
- Required Certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC certification is mandatory).
- Skills: Proficient in treating various pediatric diagnoses including Autism, Developmental Delays, Cerebral Palsy, Sensory Processing Disorders, and more.
- Team Environment: Ability to work collaboratively with other therapists and Rehab Aides (COTAs not present at this location).
Work Environment
This position operates within a supportive outpatient environment, with a focus on providing high-quality therapy to children. The team is led by an OT Manager/Supervisor on each shift to ensure a collaborative and effective working environment.
Dress Code
Therapists are required to wear scrubs in any color and/or professional attire. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
Additional Information
No weekend or holiday requirements are associated with this position. Centralized scheduling is provided, with treatment sessions conducted in one-hour blocks.
