Job Description
An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist to work in an outpatient pediatric rehabilitation unit. The role involves providing therapy to children with a range of diagnoses and conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for pediatric patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions for conditions such as Autism, Developmental Delays, Rare Genetic Syndromes, Cerebral Palsy, and more.
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, including Rehab Aides.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records using Epic EMR.
- Participate in weekly meetings and collaborate with team members for optimal patient care.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of pediatric therapy experience in an outpatient setting.
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
- No additional certifications required.
Schedule Details
- Choose between 8 or 10-hour shifts, with options for flexible scheduling.
- Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week.
- No weekend or holiday requirements.
Orientation and Training
New hires will receive a comprehensive 1-week orientation that includes shadowing experienced staff, learning scheduling protocols, and familiarizing with patient demographics and documentation processes.
Dress Code
Therapists are required to wear scrubs in any color or professional attire that is free of holes and rips. Closed-toed shoes are mandatory.
