We are seeking a dedicated and experienced X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures for patients of all ages. This position is designed for an individual who can confidently manage complex orthopedic procedures and operate C-arm equipment with minimal additional training.

Position Summary

Under the direction of management, the Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for the following:

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of diagnostic X-ray examinations as ordered by physicians.
• Correctly position patients and select appropriate technical factors for imaging procedures.
• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment in accordance with established guidelines.
• Review imaging for quality, accuracy, and diagnostic value.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Follow radiation safety standards and infection control practices.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Support department quality initiatives and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the operating room environment.
• Ability to independently support complex orthopedic, neuro, vascular, and general surgery cases.
• Experience in a level 1 trauma setting is required due to the high-acuity surgical environment.
• Proven experience with complex surgical cases.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Licensure & Certifications

• Current State Radiologic Technologist License.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification.
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures, positioning techniques, and radiation safety.
• Ability to operate diagnostic imaging equipment safely and effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to image quality standards.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Interview Process

Candidates will be required to participate in an interview with the unit manager.

• Florida AHCA Level 2 screening may take up to 14 business days to process.
• Medical exemption requests for the seasonal influenza vaccination are allowed for the specified season. Exemption forms must be submitted as part of the application package.
