Description
This is a float pool position within an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) setting. The candidate must possess the ability to read and interpret telemetry independently and have a solid background in acute care ICU experience.
Position Overview
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Specialty: ICU
- Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 48
- Weekend Requirements: 75% weekends required
- Call Requirements: None
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years ICU experience
- Floating Requirement: Ability to float to various ICUs including Medical, Surgical/Trauma, Neuro, Cardiac ICU, and IMC levels of care, based on experience.
Patient Care Information
- Number of Beds: Varies based on the unit
- Patient Ratios: 1:2 (1:3 in IMC)
- Equipment Used: EPIC EMR
Qualifications
- Must Have Skills/Experience: Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience, including familiarity with managing sedated, intubated patients, and those on pressors.
- Preferred Skill Set/Experience: Additional years of ICU experience may be advantageous.
- Patient Complexity: Candidates should be able to care for basic ICU patients but will not be assigned high complexity cases such as Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).
- Personality Fit: Seeking individuals who prioritize outstanding patient care, effective team communication, and have a strong desire for personal and organizational excellence. Flexibility with assignments is crucial, as candidates may be required to take on multiple assignments during a single shift.

- Prohibited Attire: Open-toed shoes (no crocs), jeans, clothing with large logos or prints, and any attire containing profanity.
