Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a busy Emergency Room (ER) environment. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients across all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics, while adhering to the standards of care and practice.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care utilizing knowledge of age-related growth and development.
- Work effectively in a high-stress environment, adapting quickly to changing situations.
- Collaborate effectively within a team, ensuring seamless communication between pre-hospital, emergency department, and in-hospital personnel.
- Manage and administer treatments, including drips and ventilators.
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards and practice guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of current Emergency Department experience; additional experience is preferred.
- Prior travel nursing experience of at least 3 months is required.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Valid New Hampshire RN license or an active compact RN license.
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexibility with scheduling, including every other weekend and holidays as needed.
Additional Information
The Emergency Department sees over 26,000 visits annually, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. The department features a newly renovated space equipped with state-of-the-art monitors and communication devices. Potential candidates must be willing to adhere to all scheduling requests and availability during critical holiday periods.
All medical and occupational health compliance documentation must be complete and submitted promptly upon acceptance of an offer.
