Description

Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will work primarily during night shifts and will participate in rotating weekend schedules. This position requires flexibility, including working two out of three winter holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  • Monitor and manage ventilator settings and adjustments as required.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the best respiratory care approaches.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred; candidates with at least two years of experience will also be considered.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a Virginia license is necessary; candidates may submit with a pending license while being able to secure a temporary license prior to start date. Another state license is required for temp eligibility.

Work Schedule

This position offers either 36 or 48 hours per week, primarily on night shifts of 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). The role does not include block scheduling and requires commitment to work every other weekend.
