Job Description

The Vascular Ultrasound Tech is responsible for providing quality imaging studies in the Vascular Department using diagnostic ultrasound as prescribed by physicians across all patient types, ages, and medical conditions. The role involves adhering to established standards and procedures while ensuring the accuracy and quality of the studies performed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations based on physician orders.
• Review ultrasound studies for quality and accuracy.
• Document findings accurately and comprehensively.
• Maintain established protocols and procedures within the Vascular Department.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of educational requirements for a diagnostic ultrasound technician.
• Current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification with an emphasis on Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Work Schedule

This position requires 5 shifts per week, each lasting 8 hours, typically from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with no on-call duties.
