Shift Information
This position requires a commitment to a 4/10-hour work schedule, from Tuesday through Friday, with on-call coverage required on a rotational basis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (BSN, Associate degree in Nursing, or Diploma in Nursing)
- High school diploma or GED
- A valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Operating Room
Certifications/Requirements
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Position Summary
This role is based within an Operating Room setting. Responsibilities include assisting in a wide range of elective and emergency surgical cases, including but not limited to abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic, orthopedics, vascular, and OB/GYN surgeries. The Registered Nurse will ensure that surgical cases proceed efficiently and in a timely manner throughout the day, utilizing after-hour call services to cover the Operating Rooms for nights, holidays, and weekends. Candidates with a strong background in Operating Room experience are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital or Rural Operating Room setting is strongly preferred.
