Description
The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) providing care in the Emergency Room (ER) plays an essential role in delivering holistic and patient-centered care to customers and their families. This position focuses on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions, adhering to specific standards and competencies relevant to the ER setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and establish nursing diagnoses.
- Identify outcomes to be achieved and develop comprehensive care plans based on assessments.
- Implement nursing interventions and provide care, continually evaluating patient progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care across disciplines.
- Participate in shared accountability and decision-making processes related to nursing practices.
- Promote and support exceptional customer care through effective leadership and practice standards.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of travel experience in the Emergency Room.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Current certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
- Experience in caring for diverse patient populations, including neonates, children, young adults, adults, and older adults.
- Experience in a Level IV Trauma Center.
- Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records.
Work Schedule
This position comes with a 36-hour guarantee and requires working every other weekend. There are no on-call requirements for this role.
