Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Technologist to join our team in the Cardiac Cath Lab. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and assisting physicians during various cardiac catheterization procedures.

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week, with the option for 4-9 hour shifts
• Weeknight Call Rotation: Approximately once every 3 weekdays
• Weekend Call Rotation: Once every 3 weekends

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure suites and ensure all radiation safety protocols are in place
• Calibrate and troubleshoot fluoro and hemodynamics monitoring equipment
• Pull supplies, set up sterile tables, and scrub in to assist physicians
• Support various procedures including device exchange, catheter placement, balloon and stent deployment
• Manage radiation dose and imaging angles
• Clean, restock, and turnover procedure rooms
• Perform sheath removals post-procedure

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting
• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI

Department Information

• Total number of procedure suites: 7 (4 Cath Lab/EP & 3 IR/Vascular)
• Average cases per day: 20+
• Common procedures: LHC, RHC, PCI, Structural, Watchman, Impella, IABP, IFR, FFR, IVUS, STEMI, Roto, Laser
• Daily staffing: 1 RN and 3 Techs in the Cath Lab
• Team leads manage scheduling and staffing

Additional Information

• Unit/Department orientation typically includes 2-3 full days of training and shadowing
• No call during the first week; subsequently, on-call duties with a buddy
• Required call response time: 30 minutes
• Provided scrubs, personal scrub caps are allowed
