Description
This position requires a dedicated professional with expertise in nuclear medicine. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services while ensuring patient care and safety.
Shift Details
- Schedule: 8-hour days, Tuesday to Friday
- Hours: 7 AM to 5 PM
- 40 hours/week scheduled, 36 hours guaranteed
- No weekend or on-call requirements
Job Description
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients as per protocols
- Operating and maintaining nuclear medicine equipment, including GE machines
- Performing venipuncture to draw blood samples
- Documenting patient information and imaging results accurately
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of nuclear medicine experience; CT experience is a plus
- Current New York State license required
- ARRT (N) or CNMT/NMTCB certification (either accepted)
- Experience with EPIC EMR and McKesson PACS is required
- Ability to work in compliance with medical and vaccination requirements
- Candidate must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle
- Previous travel experience is encouraged
Orientation and Additional Information
- Non-billable orientation: 8 hours
- Requested time off during the assignment must be noted during the submission process
- Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color - no designs or cartoons, and no hoodies
